The UNKNOWN SOLDIERS come amazingly close to replicating the music of The Doors note for note while capturing their raw energy through each band member's interpretation, combining to deliver a groovy reproduction of a live Doors show that keeps audiences in a head-bobbing, toe-tapping trance. Their singer's Morrison-esque look, vibe and baritone voice combine with swirling organs and deft musicianship to captivate and transcend time and place, allowing audiences to be transported back in time to experience a taste of live shows that are now a part of rock mythology. MATTHEW MEI WITH YOU BRIGHT MINDS - Having traveled the world as the son of a preacher man, Matt's initial introduction to the world of music was his dads classical, old blues and folk records, but it was his struggles in life and his soulful growth that fueled his desire to write emotional and heartfelt songs. The CARNIVAL BAND is a community music project with ten years of history, based out of Commercial Drive's Britannia Community Centre. With a floating membership of around 30 people playing brass, woodwinds, accordions, percussion and stringed instruments, their monstrous repertoire includes samba, calypso, swing, afrobeat, jazz, funk, disco and traditional music from around the globe. They've played around the globe including Shanghai and a spontaneous performance in London, England that lead to the internet phenomenon of "Traffic Wardens Need Love", based around a YouTube video of the Carnival Band serenading traffic wardens. Their music is grounded in both collaboration and empowerment to all involved. WALTZ DARLING have entertained local audiences for years with their crazy musical journeys. SISTER SABBATH - Formed in 2008, Sister Sabbath is different from the other Sabbath tribute bands, boasting a female singer who covers all the eras of Black Sabbath with ease. Their set list covers every angle of the band's vast career from their biggest hits to underground favorites, with an entertaining stage show featuring some of the city's finest musicians and a psychotic nun's outfit front and centre. Vancouver's new female-fronted Sabbath tribute is a force to be reckoned with and we will no doubt be hearing more buzz about this tribute band in the near future.

MYSTERY ACHIEVEMENT is BC's newest tribute to The Pretenders! It all began in the spring of 2008 when a unique combination of musicians got together and jammed out hits like "Brass in Pocket" and "Don't Get me Wrong". Female fronted and comprised of five members who love and are influenced by The Pretenders, they also add in an extra shot of retro '80s classic covers like "Hit Me With your Best Shot".
